POP-UP! LAW Design is here on Saturday 5th September

Kelvin Rooms will host a one-day pop-up by slow fashion label LAW Design Studio this Saturday, 5 September! We'll be hosting from 11 am to 5 pm and look forward to showcasing this wonderful brand once again. 

LAW Design Studio was founded by Gillian McNeill, a Scottish designer and illustrator who spent a decade working for high street retailers in the UK and United States before leaving the sector, troubled by its disposability and the conditions in which its garments were made. Every LAW piece is designed and sewn in her Glasgow studio by McNeill and a small team of skilled machinists, using natural materials, principally linen and organic cotton.

The label works to order, producing each garment only once it has been bought. This avoids surplus stock and allows every piece to be adjusted at the hem or the leg. A take-back scheme invites customers to return garments once they are no longer worn, to be reprocessed and resold, and fabric offcuts are repurposed into homeware and accessories. All orders are dispatched in plastic-free packaging.
