Should the bag be caught in rain, blot it with a dry cloth and allow it to dry at room temperature; heat applied too quickly draws the moisture from the fibres and leaves the leather stiff.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA neutral conditioner, worked into the surface once or twice a year, will keep it supple and slow the drying that comes with age. The strap deserves particular attention, flexing more than the body of the bag and drying first.
