LupiArt is taken from lupine, the Latin for wolf-like, and from Lupi-Lu, a nickname she had as a child. She has been exhibiting and selling original paintings since 2003 and began printing cards from them at the end of 2012, so each card carries a painting that existed in its own right first.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe card measures 15 x 15cm and is left blank inside. Each one arrives individually wrapped in a biodegradable cellophane sleeve with an envelope. The square format is part of why we chose these: a square painting printed on an upright card has to be cropped to fit, and here nothing is lost.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eHow to Look After Your Card\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eWrite on the card in a dry room and give fountain pen ink a moment to set before closing it, since card that has taken up any damp will let a line feather. Keep spares flat and off windowsills, as printed inks fade at the edges first where daylight reaches them.
