Guided by Moonlight Greetings Card by Lucy Campbell

Lucy Campbell is a Scottish painter who works from home, and this card is printed from one of her original paintings. It belongs to the group of her work built around children, which sits alongside her wolves, birds and night skies.

Campbell has exhibited and sold original paintings since 2003 and began printing cards from them at the end of 2012. Her studio name, LupiArt, is taken from lupine, the Latin for wolf-like, and from Lupi-Lu, a nickname she had as a child.

The card is 15 x 15cm and left blank inside. It comes individually wrapped in a biodegradable cellophane sleeve with an envelope.

Framing a Greetings Card

A good number of these are bought to frame instead of to send, and 15cm square is a standard frame size, so no trimming is needed if the card is kept folded and slipped behind the mount. If you would rather use the front panel alone, cut along the inside of the fold with a craft knife and a steel rule for a square edge. Hang the finished frame on a wall that does not take direct afternoon sun, because printed inks shift first in the lighter passages where there is least pigment to lose.
