Leap of Faith Greetings Card by Lucy Campbell

Lucy Campbell paints from home in Scotland, and this card is printed from one of her original paintings. The title is hers, given to the painting rather than added afterwards for the card, which is why these work as well for a new job or a house move as they do for a birthday.

Campbell has been selling original work to collectors since 2003 and began making cards from her paintings at the end of 2012. LupiArt, the name she works under, is taken from lupine, the Latin for wolf-like, and from Lupi-Lu, a nickname she had as a child.

The card measures 15 x 15cm, is left blank inside, and arrives individually wrapped in a biodegradable cellophane sleeve with an envelope.

Writing and Posting Your Card

Write with the card opened flat on a hard surface, since a card written on a soft surface takes an impression through to the printed face. Ballpoint and gel pens sit well on this stock; if you prefer fountain pen, test a stroke on the inside back panel first, because a wet nib can spread on coated card. When posting, a square envelope counts as a large letter with Royal Mail and needs the higher rate, so it is worth weighing before it goes.
