Lucy Campbell is a Scottish painter, and this card is printed from one of her original paintings. It is one of the two designs her studio sells most of, which is worth knowing when you are choosing between eleven of them.
Water and the creatures in it are a standing theme in Campbell's work, alongside wolves, birds, horses and the woods around her home in Scotland. She has exhibited and sold original paintings since 2003, and began printing cards from them at the end of 2012. The name LupiArt comes from lupine, the Latin for wolf-like, and from Lupi-Lu, a nickname she had as a child.
The card measures 15 x 15cm and is left blank inside. It arrives individually wrapped in a biodegradable cellophane sleeve with an envelope.
Storing a Card Until You Need It
A blank card is worth buying ahead, and it keeps well if it is kept flat, sealed in its sleeve and out of the light. Lay it in a drawer rather than propping it on a shelf, where the lower edge carries the weight and starts to lift. Keep the envelope with it, since envelope paper and card stock yellow at different rates once they are separated.
