Sleep Tight Natural Pillow Mist

Scott's Apothecary is a family business run by two sisters, Alice and Toni, who blend their products by hand in the south side of Glasgow. Sleep Tight is a mist for pillows, bed linen and the air of a room, built on distilled water and rose floral water with witch hazel and vegetable glycerin.

The scent comes from three essential oils. Lavender is the dominant note, soft and herbaceous. Roman chamomile sits underneath it, sweeter and slightly apple-like. Frankincense gives the blend its resinous depth and keeps it from reading as purely floral. It is a quiet, warm scent rather than a bright one, and it belongs to the end of the day: a few mists over the pillow as part of winding down, alongside the lamp going off and the book going down.

There are no artificial fragrances and no parabens, and the blend is suitable for vegans. It comes in a 50ml glass bottle that can be refilled.

How to Use It

Mist generously into the air, or lightly over pillows and bed linen. Essential oils in a water base separate as they stand, so give the bottle a shake before each use to redistribute them.

Test on an inconspicuous corner before misting any fabric directly. Floral waters and essential oils can mark delicate or pale materials, and a small patch will tell you in a minute what a whole pillowcase would take a wash to undo.
