Shipping & Returns

UK delivery

We post orders on Mondays and Thursdays. Anything ordered after 12 noon on a posting day goes out on the next one, and everything is dispatched within 72 hours of payment.

Delivery within the UK is £3.95, and free on orders over £60. Parcels are sent by Royal Mail (UK deliveries) and usually arrive three to five working days after dispatch. If your order has not reached you within seven working days, email hello@kelvinapothecary.com and we will chase it for you.

Bank holidays, Saturdays and Sundays are not working days.

Click and collect

Collection is free. Choose Kelvin Rooms at checkout and we will email you as soon as your order is ready to collect from the shop at 39A Otago Street, Kelvinbridge, Glasgow G12 8JJ.

International delivery

We do not ship to the European Union.

We ship to the United States, Iceland and Norway at a flat rate of £19, and to a small number of other countries at £35. Customs charges and import duties are set by the destination country and are the customer's responsibility, so please check what your country charges before ordering. Where the cost of shipping is unreasonable we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund it in full. If you would like a quote before you buy, email hello@kelvinapothecary.com.

Delivery information

If you give the carrier an instruction to leave your parcel somewhere else, with a neighbour or in an outbuilding for example, we cannot take responsibility if it then goes missing.

We do not deliver to PO Boxes, lockers or parcel collection points. If you enter one as your delivery address we cannot take responsibility for a parcel you do not receive.

Delivery addresses are entered by you at checkout, so please check yours carefully. If an incorrect address is entered and the parcel is delivered, we cannot resend the order. If it comes back to us, we can resend it once the cost of redelivery is covered.

Returns and refunds

We accept returns on UK orders.

You have 14 days from the day you receive your order to tell us you want to cancel it. Once you have told us, you have a further 14 days to send the goods back. Return postage is at your own cost.

We will refund you within 14 days of the goods reaching us, or of you showing us they have been sent, whichever comes first. Refunds go back by the method you paid with, and include the standard delivery charge you paid when you ordered.

We can reduce your refund if the goods have been handled more than was necessary to check them, in the way you would handle something in a shop.

Items sealed for hygiene reasons cannot be returned once opened.

Your right to cancel

You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period ends 14 days from the day on which you, or someone you name other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the goods.

To exercise the right to cancel, tell us of your decision by a clear statement. Email hello@kelvinapothecary.com or write to Kelvin Retail Limited, 39A Otago Street, Kelvinbridge, Glasgow G12 8JJ. You may use the model cancellation form below, though you do not have to. To meet the deadline, it is enough that you send your communication before the cancellation period has expired.

Effects of cancellation. If you cancel, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the cost of standard delivery. We may make a deduction for any loss in value of the goods caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment you used, and you will not incur any fees as a result.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earlier. You must send the goods back to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day you told us you were cancelling. You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
