The Nordic Lantern

This metal lantern is designed by ib laursen, the Danish homeware company, and made in India. It stands 25.5cm high on a base 13.5cm square.

A lantern keeps a candle out of draughts and throws its light through the frame, which suits a windowsill, a doorstep or the centre of a table through the darker months.

Using a Candle Lantern

Choose a candle that sits well clear of the frame on every side, and never leave it burning unattended. Metal will rust if it is left out in the wet, so bring the lantern indoors after use outside and dry it before storing.
