The Wedding Cake Letterpress Greeting Card is printed in Glasgow by The Passenger Press, on paper milled in the UK, with a tall wedding cake taken from the Army & Navy Co-operative Society's general price list of September 1894, now held in the House of Fraser Archive at the University of Glasgow Archive Services. A QR code on the back tells the story behind the picture.

It is part of the Keyhole Collection, for which Rhian Nicholas finds images tucked away in archives and prints them in small batches by hand on her vintage letterpresses in her Glasgow studio.

Being hand-inked, each card differs slightly from the next in depth and colour. It comes with a brown kraft envelope and suits a wedding, an engagement or an anniversary.

We stock it because it is a wedding card with a real piece of archive history behind it, held here in Glasgow.

Card Care

Keep the card flat and in its envelope until the wedding, so it reaches the couple without a crease. If it's kept afterwards, a drawer or a box away from damp is the best place for it.
