About The Kindred Folk

The Kindred Folk are an independent home fragrance company from Glasgow, Scotland. Maura and Jordan, two kindred spirits, founded The Kindred Folk in 2020 and have been self taught from the beginning. A hobby driven from a shared love of nature and the outdoors, which soon quickly became a true passion. Since then, The Kindred Folk have now moved into a dedicated candle-making studio near Loch Lomond where all their products are lovingly handmade.

Made in Scotland and hand-poured into amber jars. Each jar comes with an aluminium gold lid which keeps your candle free of dust and smelling fresh. Kindred Folk candles are created using a unique and sustainable blend of rapeseed-coconut wax, and using natural cotton and linen wicks. The fragrances are created using only premium, paraben-free fragrances, all of which create a powerful and clean burning candle at every light.

Wax Melts and Home Fragrance

The same Kindred Folk fragrances are available as botanical eco wax melts, which suit smaller rooms and let you change the scent whenever you like. They work with our ceramic oil burner, a simple unglazed burner that sits well on a shelf or windowsill.

If you prefer a candle built from pure essential oils rather than fragrance blends, the Scott's Apothecary soy candles are hand-poured in Glasgow using sustainably sourced soy wax, and are available in a larger 500g size for longer burning.
