Small Italian Leather Coin Purse

Montte di Jinne have worked with Italian leather artisans since 2010, and this small purse is made in modest batches, cut and stitched by hand in genuine Italian leather.

Inside a snap closure sit three compartments, one of them zipped, which keep cards apart from coins. The interior has been left unlined, revealing the reverse of the leather and keeping the purse slim enough to sit in a coat pocket without bulk.

Leather takes colour and grain differently across a hide, so no two purses are quite alike, and the surface will soften and deepen in tone as it is handled.

Available in ten colours, from blossom pink and orange through to navy, olive green and dark chocolate. The shades in stock change with each delivery.

Manufactured within the EU, where labour law sets minimum standards for pay, working conditions, and holiday entitlement.

How to Care for Your Leather

Leather requires surprisingly little care, and most of what it asks is that extremes be avoided. Kept away from prolonged damp and direct heat, the purse will last for many years. Should it get wet, blot the surface with a dry cloth and allow it to dry at room temperature; heat applied too quickly draws the moisture from the fibres and leaves the leather stiff.

An occasional wipe with a barely damp cloth will lift the dust that settles into the grain, and a neutral conditioner worked in once or twice a year keeps the surface supple. Coins carried loose will burnish the inside of the purse over time. This is a normal effect of use on unlined leather.
