Lucy Campbell is a Scottish painter, and this card is printed from one of her original paintings. Boa noite is Portuguese for good night, and the card is one of the few in the range that names its own mood rather than its subject.
Campbell has been exhibiting and selling original paintings since 2003, and began printing cards from them at the end of 2012. LupiArt, the name she works under, comes from lupine, the Latin for wolf-like, and from Lupi-Lu, a nickname she had as a child. She works from home in Scotland, among hills and woods, and paints the wild and its creatures.
The card is 15 x 15cm, left blank inside, and arrives individually wrapped in a biodegradable cellophane sleeve with an envelope.
Care and Handling
Open and close the card at the fold rather than bending it back on itself, because printed card creases permanently once the coating cracks along the spine. Slide it into its envelope printed face inwards so the front panel is protected by the fold. If you are keeping several by for later, a flat box suits them better than a rack, since standing cards take their own weight on one edge and curl.
