Floral Botanical Bauble

This bauble is mouth-blown in India for Arthur Cameron, the group behind Bollywood Christmas, and decorated with off-white flowers held within the glass. It measures 3 inches, about 7.5cm, across and hangs from a loop of natural jute.

The flowers are set onto the surface of the bauble and covered with a further layer of glass. This year's pieces carry semi-transparent images of the flowers, since a poor harvest left the makers short of the real blooms the design normally uses. The images give the glass a soft, slightly misted look, and the second layer leaves small bumps and dips in the surface, which differ from bauble to bauble.

How to Care for Your Floral Bauble

Choose a sturdy branch towards the centre of the tree for this bauble, where it is less likely to be brushed by passers-by and knocked to the floor. Wipe away dust with a soft, dry cloth. When the decorations come down, wrap it in tissue and keep it upright in a box, so that the weight of other ornaments does not press on the glass.
