Tiny Crackle Heart Bauble

This small heart is hand-blown in a wine-red glass and measures about 3cm. It is finished with an ornate bronze-coloured cap and hangs from an organza tie in a matching shade.

A crackle glaze is applied to the outside of the heart when it is first blown, which crazes the surface into a fine web of lines over the deep red beneath. The pattern differs a little on every heart. We sell them individually, and the heart shape makes them as fitting for Valentine's Day as for Christmas.

How to Care for Your Glass Heart

Check that the cap sits firmly on the neck of the glass before hanging the heart by its tie, as a loose cap is the usual reason a small ornament falls. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, and keep it wrapped in tissue between seasons so the crackled surface is protected from scratches.
