Christmas Cat Garland

A cat carrying a Christmas pudding repeats ten times along this three-metre garland, each figure die-cut and embossed by Mamelok and finished by hand in the UK.

The motifs measure around 195mm, large enough to read from across a room. Mamelok's work descends from the embossed scraps of the Victorian period, which were cut out and pasted into albums, onto screens and onto homemade cards, and the company now manufactures its range near Cambridge.

Storing Your Garland

Damp is the main risk to embossed card, as it softens the relief and lets the motifs sag. Store the garland in a dry box with nothing heavy on top, and hang it away from heat when it comes out again.
