Golden Crescent Moon Face Wall Hook

This crescent moon hook is cast in recycled aluminium and finished in gold, with a moon face in relief. It is handcrafted in India for Namaste, by a workshop that employs both men and women in metal casting, a trade traditionally done by men in India, and supports projects in its local community.

Aluminium can be melted down and recast repeatedly without losing its properties, and recycling it uses a fraction of the energy needed to produce new metal from ore.

The hook measures 8 × 16cm and has a polished back with two screw holes for fixing to a wall. Screws are not included. It is made to match the crescent moon keyring we also stock.

Caring for Recycled Aluminium

Wipe the hook with a soft, damp cloth and dry it straight away, as abrasive cleaners and scourers will wear through the gold-coloured finish. Fix it with screws suited to the wall, using wall plugs in plaster or masonry, so that it sits flush and holds firm.
