These long safety matches come in a square box printed with a celestial design, made by Curator Home. Each box holds around 100 matches, and each match is 10cm long.

The extra length keeps fingers well clear of the flame when lighting deep-set candles, storm lanterns, wood burners and open fires. Safety matches strike only against the treated panel on the side of the box, which is why they are the kind kept in most homes.

We stock them because matches are used every day in a house with candles and a fire, and a box this well printed can sit out in the open beside them.

Keeping Matches Dry

Store the box somewhere dry and away from heat. Damp softens both the striking panel and the match heads, and once either has absorbed moisture the matches will strike poorly or not at all. Keep them out of reach of children.
