Recycled Festive Red Sari Garland

This garland is made from strips of recycled sari fabric in red, gathered into a full, ruffled rope about two metres long with a loop at each end for hanging. It is handmade in India by a small family business and supplied by Namaste.

Saris are woven in long lengths of patterned silk and synthetic fibre, and the offcuts carry their colours and borders into the garland, so no two are quite the same. It works as a Christmas tinsel along a mantelpiece or a banister, and as a bright trim for the rest of the year.

Caring for a Fabric Garland

Shake the garland out to lift dust, and spot clean any marks with a damp cloth. Keep it away from candles and open flames, as loose fabric catches easily.
