Every Morning the World Is Created Greetings Card by Lucy Campbell

Lucy Campbell paints at home in Scotland, surrounded by hills and woods, and this card is printed from one of her original paintings. She works as a painter first and a printmaker second: the image existed on canvas before it existed on card.

Campbell has sold original paintings to collectors since 2003 and started producing cards from them at the end of 2012. Her studio name, LupiArt, is taken from lupine, the Latin for wolf-like, and from Lupi-Lu, a childhood nickname. She describes her subject as the wild, its lore and its creatures, along with the symbols people reach for when words will not do.

The card is 15 x 15cm, left blank inside, and comes individually wrapped in a biodegradable cellophane sleeve with an envelope.

Keeping and Framing Your Card

Many of these cards end up framed rather than posted, and the square format suits a 15cm box frame without any trimming. If you plan to frame one, open the card fully and cut along the fold with a craft knife against a steel rule, which gives a cleaner edge than scissors. Use a mount to hold the print off the glass, as card left in contact with glass will eventually cockle where moisture collects.
